This class will be FULL of information. Students will learn all about rabbits. Whether they are interested in having a pet, breeding and showing, or raising meat, there are things to know. This class will cover:

• Grooming (including clipping nails)

• Health

• Housing

• Feed

• How to pick a good rabbit

• Body confirmation

• Breeding

• Showing

• How to get involved in 4H

Each family will receive the book How to Raise Rabbits by Samantha Johnson

This is an outdoor class. Please:

• Bring a lawn chair

• Dress warmly

• Consider bringing a blanket to wrap in

Rabbit stew or chili will be served so everyone can experience the taste of rabbit meat. Delicious.

• 14 weeks old at time of class

• $50/each, but less per rabbit if purchased in pairs or trios

• Bring a carrier if you plan to take a bunny or two home

Arrive: 1:50pm (This gives you a little time for parking, restrooms, and looking around.)

Event: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Rain Date: Monday, November 18th, 2:00-4:00 (decision will be made by noon on November 11th if the rain date will be used.)

Minimum Number of Participants: 10 (class will be cancelled if this number is not reached)

Maximum Number of Participants: 25
